Ancient Australia Unearthed is a high school textbook that uses archaeology to teach Australia’s ancient history. The new Australian Curriculum: History has a unit called ‘The Ancient World’, and the topic ‘Ancient Australia’ is embedded in this unit. To date, no standalone texts exist that cover Australia’s ancient past for a high school audience.

Ancient Australia Unearthed will address this need.

Numerous Registered Aboriginal Parties, archaeologists, educators and artists from across the country have already pledged their support for this text, donating their time, resources and expertise. In addition, more than $10,500 has been raised through crowdfunding to assist with publication.
